This is one of the major differences between sugaring and waxing legs and other more sensitive areas. Wax products are made of resins which adhere to skin cells. Because wax sticks to any surface it is applied to, pulling it away causes unwarranted pain. Alexandria Professional® sugaring products never adhere to live skin cells on bodies, faces, or legs. Therefore, when it is removed, it only gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving behind silky smooth skin.

Additionally, because AP sugaring paste is all natural and water soluble, it can be easily rinsed away if needed.

Are there any prerequisites in order to become certified with Alexandria Professional®?

While there are some exceptions in certain countries, most require a license to perform hair removal services. So in most cases in order to take our course you must either be licensed to perform such services or be in school to obtain such a license.

Does Alexandria Professional® recognize the certification from other companies in advanced sugaring?

If you are switching to AP from another sugar company, we provide you the opportunity to take our exam, both practical and theory. This ensures that AP standards in knowledge and technique are met giving all clients the highest caliber of professional body sugaring.

Why do I have to take a 2 Day Course?

Regardless of how long you have been performing hair removal professionally and which product type you have become accustomed to using, once you become involved with AP professional sugaring, you are committing to an entirely new skill based method.

It is generally recognized in the beauty industry that the subject of hair removal is given very little attention. This is surprising in view of the fact that hair removal can be very traumatic to the client. What’s more, hair removal can cause numerous adverse reactions depending on the condition of the skin and hair before epilating/extracting the hair.

We require our new practitioners to come back for their FREE refresher class within 30 days to tweak their technique and help prevent bad habits from taking place. AP practitioners are encouraged to keep coming back for more AP advanced classes.

Are the Alexandria Products professional?

YES – all Alexandria Professional® products are certified and approved by North American and European Manufacturing Standards.

AP professional sugaring classes and products are offered to beauty professionals only. However, we recognize the need for client support products and provide a variety of products that can be retailed to your clients for home use

Is AP Advanced Sugaring approved for CEUs ?

YES – Alexandria Professional® is the first and only sugaring company to be approved by a National Accrediting Body NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences) for 16 CEU’s. Each State Board has their own specific requirements and AP will submit to you upon request documentation for you to present to your State Board.

AP also provides other courses such as KiSS Waxing®, Speed Sugaring and Tough Hair Extraction (THE Technique), Full Circle of Skin Conditioning Treatments and many more as ongoing education.

Is Alexandria Professional® Insured?

Yes, we have full manufacturer insurance for all our products and courses. We are very proud that NO claims have been processed against Alexandria Professional®. Proof of insurance is available upon request to professionals.
